Marker Design is a web design company established by Lesley Marker in 2001. We work to create a positive user experience, whether reinforcing a brand or creating a new web presence. Our company's goal is to provide clean, efficient design that meets our clients’ visual needs, whatever they are.

Developing web site concepts, adapting to beta testing, and designing look and feel parameters are core strengths of Marker Design. We produce web sites, marketing sites, promotional banners, and graphic emails.

Background

Lesley has a BFA in Illustration from Syracuse University. After working for years in print design, she jumped at the opportunity to learn interactive design in 1993 working on a team that created CD-ROM+ disks for musicians Soundgarden, the Monkees and Clay Walker. Lesley then moved into web design, spending time at iVillage and then moving on to Condenet, the web division of CondeNast Publications. At CondeNet, she grew from art director to creative director and launched Vogue.com and Style.com. Lesley struck out on her own in 2001 to create Marker Design in Brooklyn, New York. In early 2008 as business continued to grow, she welcomed Mike Andres to the company.

Mike Andres has finally made the leap to web design. After nearly 20 years of print design and marketing experience, Mike brings graphic design ability, technical expertise, Flash development and a growing knowledge of marketing analytics to Marker Design.
